Hello and welcome to Apple Treen House Floral Design Studio.

I'm Anna, a floral designer with around 20 years of experience, based in Battle, East Sussex where I work from my home based studio.

Before finding floristry I worked as a printed textile designer and later as a Fashion Buyer. Those early creative years, together with my experience working alongside brands, retail companies, fashion houses and art directors have shaped the way I approach floral design today. It taught me the importance of really listening, understanding what a client is looking for and how to translate that vision into something tangible. Something that transforms a space, enhances an experience and creates an atmosphere that is truly memorable.

My work is always led by a love of nature, an instinct for colour and a fascination with textures, shapes and forms found in the natural world. 

I love creating floral designs that have a real sense of individuality. Designs that feel generous, considered and connected to their surroundings, with an instinctive mix of colour, texture and natural movement. I believe flowers should make you feel something, and I'm happiest when I have the freedom to be creative, explore unexpected combinations and follow an idea somewhere a little different. I'm drawn to interesting details and making the most of what nature has to offer. For me it's about looking beyond the flowers themselves, bringing together all the elements to create something with character and beauty.
